Wynne’s Hip Replacement Story
“The operation was super fast. On my feet in 2 hours!”
(0:06) Okay, so Wynne’s come up from Wales and he’s, he had his, he had his hip done,, (0:13) about, seven weeks ago. Yeah. And, and he’s, a surveyor and somebody that (0:23) sort of did a lot of research and was recommended to Kristian actually through one of my previous (0:27) fellows, a lovely chap said, yep, these are good guys. And what, what do you think (0:33) so far of the, of the experience?
Wynne, how would you explain it to people? The process (0:39) itself, the operation was super fast, on my feet within two hours. I was discharged (0:45) the following day. By the time Thursday came, which was four days post-op, I was (0:52) home and I was back in work on Friday.
To be honest, by the following week, I (0:59) was driving around the farm. Didn’t go on the public roads, obviously, but I was (1:06) quite comfortable sitting in a seat and driving around the farm and, back in work, very (1:12) active, just getting on with it and doing as I’m told with both crutches and, and managing (1:17) it properly. And, it was a very, very speedy recovery.
And how, compared to other (1:23) people that you know, have had hip replacements and what you know about it, what has it compared, (1:27) you think? I’ve heard of stories of people being in hospital for, upwards of a week (1:34) and these are private customers in West Wales.
And I’ve also heard stories of them not being (1:39) back to work for six weeks and certainly not having the level of mobility I had, (1:47) you know, I had a normal Christmas, went to the theatre, we went to, watch the Panto, (1:53) we did everything with the family and the hip operation, didn’t affect me at all. (1:59) And that was just a couple of weeks after surgery. Yeah.
I was super, you know, (2:03) absolutely pleased with it. Did everything it was meant to do. Brilliant. Thanks so much.
