I had a chance to visit Prof Adrian Wilson and Dr Kristian Kley in September 2024 at Cromwell hospital, London.
I witnessed not only hip and knee surgeries but exceptional teamwork in action. Prof Adrian leading the team in Arthroscopic procedures and Dr Kristian leading the team in osteotomies and Joint Replacement. So much to learn in terms of how a great team work results in improved surgical performance with reduced surgeon stress .
As for surgical skills, it was truly mesmerising watching Dr Kristian Kley performing hip and knee surgeries. Constantly finishing hip in 15 min, irrespective of patient BMI, and making patients walk 3 hours post surgery. It was a treat watching him operating. I learned a lot from Prof Adrian arthroscopic techniques, helping me modify & improve my technique.
