(0:00) I remember if I wanted to turn, I had to take little steps, just turning, and with this (0:08) procedure I could just turn.
So you’re 79? Yep. And you’ve had both of your hips (0:13) replaced now? Yes. And the first hip was replaced when? Six years ago, five, six years ago. (0:21) Most recent is your left side, which we did five weeks ago, and we kept you in (0:26) for the night, and how’s it been since, how do they compare? Chalk and cheese, it’s really a world of difference. (0:34) There were no restrictions on bending, there were no restrictions on lying on my back, which I had to do with the first (0:42) procedure. I could lie anywhere I was comfortable, and the recovery, it’s just been so fast.
(0:50) How much pain were you in? Very little. So that includes when you sort of came round (0:55) from the anaesthetic, and then the following day? Paracetamol.
And what about driving? (1:02) I was driving my car after five days. Well how long does it take the last time for you to have a bit of the same situation? (1:09) I know it’s a while ago now, it’s difficult to remember. It is difficult, probably three to six months.
