Peter’s Hip Replacement
“They were first class. It’s down to my revoery hard work now!”
(0:00) So far so good, I think. I’m looking forward.
And the pain was quite bad before the surgery? (0:05) Yeah, and getting worse. So this was timely. Oh, look what I found. Yeah. And so let’s find out (0:13) about it. That’s why I came to see you.
You’ve been talking about a hip replacement (0:20) on the NHS, because it was getting worse. My pain was getting worse. Very often, (0:27) in fact, I did stumble in the house.
Pretty fine. I haven’t had much pain at all since (0:38) I came out of hospital. And how long were you in for? (0:42) Just overnight. But I’ve never used the crutches. I do use a walker, or I have used a walker, (0:51) just for the four-legged stability initially. When I am moving and manoeuvring the leg, (0:59) the thigh part, that’s where the lifting is. Sure, and that will take a bit of time. (1:05) Yeah.
What were the team like? (1:07) Great. They were first class. It’s down to my recovery hard work now. Exercise (1:15) and take the tablets when they’re necessary and keep cold compresses going.
(1:23) And would you recommend it to other people? Certainly, without a doubt.
