Liam’s Osteotomy Surgery
(0:30) So we’ve got Liam he’s had his meniscal transplantation, lateral meniscal transplantation, and he’s had a distal (0:34) femoral osteotomy.
(0:35) How much pain are you in, Liam? (0:37) Zero. (0:38) No pain at all? (0:39) Surgery was yesterday morning? (0:41) I haven’t felt one bit of pain yet. (0:42) Zero all the way through. (0:44) That’s great. (0:45)
And is it kind of what you’re expecting, a bit better or? (0:49) Yeah, that’s ten times better than I was expecting, a lot of pain. (0:52) Yeah, good. (0:53) I mean, the surgery went really well. (0:55) I’ll show you some images of that. (0:56) But yeah, it’s nice that you’re completely pain free the day after surgery. (1:00) Yeah.
(1:01) So we used a new long-acting special local anaesthetic.(1:05) I think we’re the first team in Europe to use that in the UK. (1:08) And yeah, I think that’s also helped. (1:10) We’ve got the old ice machine, Physiolab. (1:12) All this stuff helps. (1:13) Of course, amazing surgery by the team.
