Jonathan’s Osteotomy Surgery
(0:00) I can go and watch my team on a Saturday again and I can walk there without having to take a bus (0:04) for most of the time. Yeah. Which is really nice actually.
And you like sport, I mean you’re a (0:08) really fit guy, what sort of things do you like to do? Yoga and Pilates, spin, (0:15) general walking exercise, I like going to the gym. It got to a point (0:19) where it was incredibly painful, it would take me several minutes to walk 10 yards, (0:23) it got really bad and it stopped me doing anything around spin, I couldn’t do any class.
(0:31) There’s the front view, if you’re asked to talk to me, there’s the side view of your DFO.
(0:36) I wouldn’t say it was difficult because I knew what process to follow, the instruction I’ve (0:40) been given and I followed them through and also getting hold of the personal training when you (0:46) said it was time to do it. Doing your own stuff, yeah. And you know, she showed me how to walk (0:52) properly again because, you know, she said over time my foot had gone out from where I think it (0:58) should be doing, so she told me to be able to walk in a straight line again, heel toe again, (1:04) and then just go through the exercise, building on what I’d been given and then sort of then (1:09) taking it on to the next stage and back to yoga and back to Pilates and back to yoga and all of (1:15) that.
It’s actually got me going to the gym more to do gym work, you know, pushing weights more than (1:21) I ever did before. You’re glad you had your osteotomy? Yes. It was a good decision.
It’s a good decision.
