(0:00) Forget about the fact that you had surgery. No surgery. No surgery. Walk to the door. (0:06) Right, okay. That’s not bad, Graham.
Just dull, dull pain. Nothing striking, nothing spiking. (0:18) We did the surgery about 10 o’clock and now it’s about, what time is it now? It’s about one o’clock. (0:23) One o’clock. It’s incredible, isn’t it? It’s great.
From one side to another, (0:28) just like I’m doing, by raising your heel. Just the heel. Yeah.
(0:37) What do you think about the approach? It’s game changing in terms of how to get patients (0:43) back quicker. This is, I’ve never seen someone doing this this quickly.
(0:50) That’s nice. Whoever can stand on one leg can walk. I want that video. Absolutely.
Graham’s Story
How often are promises broken, and facts found to be fiction, we have all experienced that. Having read the information about Minimal invasive surgery for Hip Replacement by Orthopaedic Innovation, I met Prof. Wilson and my fears were allayed. I decided to go ahead with the surgery.
Promises:
Rapid Recovery — I was walking within a week using a stick, and driving after 3 weeks.
Pain — Well managed, needing minimal Paracetamol after 3 weeks.
Infection — There was none, and no major discomfort.
Wound — The small scar was barely visible after 5 weeks.
Other Factors:
Leg swelling took a little longer than expected, but an issued Geko Tens unit greatly assisted reduction.
Physio exercises then hastened recovery of muscular functioning.
After 5 weeks, I am walking, driving and undertaking a lot of my normal activities.
To quote an old saying:
Prof. Wilson and Dr. Kleys practise what they preach.
Brilliant Orthopaedic Surgeons
Thank you, from Graham Davis.
