Debra’s Rapid Recovery Hip Replacement Experience
(0:00) Hey, look at you. I know.
(0:03) You had a hip replacement on the right side. (0:05) That’s right.
(0:06) And when has that been? (0:07) About seven years ago. (0:08) And that was obviously a conventional hip. (0:10) It was indeed. (0:11) Okay. (0:12) So now you have this one on the left side. (0:15) Yeah. (0:15) And you had that yesterday. (0:16) Yes. (0:17) And you’re moving from one side to another safely. (0:21) And you have had your walk. (0:22) So you can distribute your whole body weight onto that side. (0:24) Yes, I can. (0:25) Perfect.
(0:26) Can you walk? (0:30) Deborah, how does it compare with the previous experience? (0:33) Oh, for goodness sakes. (0:34) I wasn’t out of the bed for a couple of days, hardly at all. (0:37) I mean, it’s completely different. (0:39) Do you think there’s a difference with this procedure? (0:43) Yeah. (0:43) Compared to the recovery? (0:44) Yeah, much, much faster.
(0:47) And now she’s walking. (0:49) It’s kind of amazing, isn’t it? (0:52) How long did it take before you could do that with the last hip replacement? (0:55) I don’t remember. (0:56) It was at least, I would have said, four days, four or five days.
(0:59) Yeah. (1:00) But then you were walking without crutches? (1:03) No. (1:03) No.
(1:04) And now you walk without crutches, don’t you? (1:06) Yes.
(1:06) How are pain levels when you would say from one to ten? (1:10) Ten is worse. (1:10) One is nothing. (1:11) Oh, two. (1:12) Yeah. (1:14) Okay. (1:15) So it’s just the bruise? (1:16) Yes, the bruise. (1:17) Yeah. (1:17) Okay. (1:19) Yeah, it’s amazing. (1:19) Are you happy? (1:20) Yes, I am. (1:20) You’re smiling. (1:22) Yeah, it’s good.
(1:23) You’re not going to leave me without a hand, are you? (1:27) Here you go. (1:27) Take my hand. (1:28) You are such a flirt. (1:29) Take my hand. (1:30) I just really like the whole hand thing. (1:36) So you’re a happy customer so far? (1:38) Yeah, I mean, that’s pretty amazing, don’t you think? (1:40) I do think it’s amazing. (1:41) I’ve had one, my right hip. (1:43) He did my right hip.
(1:44) Did he? (1:44) Did he hold your hand down the hall? (1:45) He did. (1:46) He did, actually. (1:47) He still does every time. (1:49) Oh, my God.
