David’s Rapid Recovery Hip Replacement Experience
(0:00) Have you already been up and about David? Yeah, four or five times. Excellent. (0:04) That’s great, give me your hand.
Now we move from one side to another, just raise your heel. (0:09) Any discomfort? No. Is it like sore or is it rather an ache? No, nothing.
(0:14) Okay. So good, no pain. I feel a bit higher on this side now.
(0:18) Yeah, you lost six millimetres because you lost six millimetres of cartilage. (0:22) Yeah, yeah. Based on the defect in the joint.
(0:27) Excellent. So obviously we calculate the height to the healthy side. (0:31) But this leg was always a bit shorter anyway.
When I went to the physio, he said to me, (0:35) my brother had Parthes disease, what is it called? Yeah, right. (0:38) So he had a leg shorter than the other. Yeah.
(0:39) I had nothing. He just went out with hip at 60. It was good.
(0:42) You will not realise that in three months. Yeah, yeah. (0:45) To me it’s all good.
I was going to go to Spire. (0:49) Spire couldn’t do anything until the 24th of December. (0:53) I said forget that.
(0:54) Then I went to Gabon. I was meant to see the lady on Wednesday. (0:59) Tuesday, way in front of me.
And he said, I’ve been here. (1:02) He said, fantastic, don’t worry about nothing. Come here.
(1:05) So I said to him, I said, yeah, okay, I’ll come. (1:07) Phone Vladimir. And they said, the operation on the 11th of December.
(1:13) I said, that’s perfect for me. (1:14) Just go to my daughter’s in two weeks time. Brilliant.
(1:17) For Christmas. Yeah. So.
(1:19) You’ll be cooking the Christmas lunch now, David. (1:21) Are you happy? Oh, every minute. (1:25) Brilliant.
And the staff, everybody here. (1:27) Absolutely commendable. Fantastic.
(1:30) You’ve done a great job. (1:32) Thank you so much.
