(0:09) So you didn’t use crutches at all? (0:11) No, not after I got home. I didn’t feel the need for it. (0:15) You know, just going up and down stairs, I just used the handrail. (0:18) I went up carefully and it wasn’t long before I was just climbing stairs normally.
(0:23) What’s your homework been telling you about what most people are like after a hip replacement? (0:28) Well, a few days in hospital and then they’re sort of hobbling around with zimmer frames and things and crutches.
(0:35) It’s a four and a half, five centimetre incision and it’s not at the front, it’s not at the back, (0:42) it’s not directly on the side, it’s front and side. (0:45) That’s why we call it the anterolateral approach. (0:47) And there’s the hip.
