(0:00) My journey is, I play on a five-a-side pitch and the first thing that aggravated my leg (0:07) was the football came over, I stretched the leg and it was, it felt like you know when you take (0:12) a chicken leg and it just went crack. I’ve got to do something about this. I’ve been looking on, (0:19) you know, Lion.
I saw Dr Kley’s The Hip Clinic and I thought this looks great, great for me. (0:27) I’ve seen all the reviews and the people that have, you know, had their lives back and I said (0:34) I want that now and this is where we’re here now really. My life has been, well there’s no life, (0:41) I’ve been invited to weddings abroad, this, that, the other and I just don’t go because usually I’m (0:47) the life and soul of the party and if I’m sitting in the corner grumpy I’m no good to anyone, (0:53) you know, so that is where we are now and today I’m having the surgery.
I can’t put my sock on (1:02) without an aid, can’t bath now really. I’d wanted to go swimming but I couldn’t find a pool that (1:09) you can walk into. It’s time to look after myself again and today meeting Dr Clay, having the op (1:17) and the backup with the physio, I’m looking forward to my future.
(1:27) Listen, I actually sent to my group, my football group, because my sister came in yesterday so I (1:35) done a little video and showed them and they were going up already. Yeah, I said well this is the (1:41) kind of surgery I was saying and now you’ve got an opportunity to be more active and enjoy life. (1:46) This is a, there’s no way I’m going to bloom up anymore, I want to get back into swimming, (1:51) I want to do what I was doing now.
As I was saying to the gentleman, I used to do 100 (1:54) down limbs in 30 minutes at Crystal Palace, so I was swimming, you know, so I want to get back (1:59) to doing all that. I was actually, you know, invited everywhere, invited abroad to weddings, (2:06) this, that, the other, didn’t do it, it was like a bit of an ostrich in the sand so (2:09) you guys have given me a second lease of life.
