(0:00) I woke up in recovery feeling a million dollars. I wanted to get off that bed and rock and roll.
(0:06) no painkillers, no pain, nothing at all, you know, just slightly stiff muscles and things as you’d (0:13) probably expect. Obviously I’m paying you to say all this stuff and what was it like in terms of (0:18) walking around the bed afterwards? It was fine, I was a bit sort of hobbly about it, (0:24) you know, just I guess sort of didn’t know how it would feel, absolutely fine.
(0:31) Got home on Saturday. You had your hip replacement done when? (0:34) 29th of August. So that’s about 10 days ago, 11 days ago.
(0:37) Physio had never seen someone who’d had a minimal hip replacement, (0:41) His face was a picture, he just couldn’t believe I’d had surgery.
(0:46) What are you like at walking now? Not bad, I’ve been on the train for an (0:49) hour and a half but I’m pretty good. Can we see you walk? (0:52) Where are the crutches? Yeah. (0:56) And come back to me. I use one crutch for half a day on Sunday.
(1:04) Absolutely amazing experience, you know, I just cannot believe it. I keep pinching (1:09) myself to make sure that, you know, I can feel pain. (1:13) Overall do you feel it’s been a slightly rapid recovery?
(1:18) Rapid, rapid, rapid. Better than I ever dreamt.
