TESTIMONIAL

Adam – Hip

Adam’s Hip Replacement Story

(0:05) How long is it since the surgery? This was just over two weeks, 15 days, 14, 15 days. Did you use crutches much? (0:15) I took them just for the escalators and steps, that’s really it, it feels a bit, to walking normally.

If you go a bit further than walking, then just like running a bit, try to. (0:32) I’ve not been able to do this for ages, when I was doing it before the op obviously, I’d do that two, three steps,

Can you do star jumps? I’ve not tried it. Yeah do it, do it  (0:50) That’s the signature move after. But you should have been doing that two hours after surgery and shame on you. (0:58) That’s awesome.

Are you happy? Yeah, I wouldn’t have dreamt of trying that at home. (1:06) How does it compare to what you’re expecting in terms of pain, movement, all the rest of it? (1:12) I didn’t expect to be able to walk the way I’m walking now, definitely not. (1:19) I suppose the uncomfortableness and the tightness of the muscle, I thought that would last a bit longer. (1:27) So I can still feel it, but it’s not, it’s sort of day by day, it’s getting… (1:32) Can you walk for us? Yeah, yeah, yeah.

(1:36) What would you say, where are you now, when like nothing at all is 100% and the way you’ve presented when you had your bad hip, that was like zero. (1:47) Where are you now in terms of recovery? How many percent are you at? What are you missing? (1:54) I think it’s just for the, it’s more the physical things, because to walk, I feel fine.

(2:00) It’s just going up steps, I’ve just used it a little bit, just to ease off a bit, but that might be more mental than anything else. (2:08) I mean it’s just the swelling and things, so that stuff to go down, and then it will feel normal, 100% normal, yeah.

(2:17) And how much pain are you in? 0 to 10, 10s terrible? (2:22) I would say 3, 4. (2:26) And are you taking painkillers? No, I stopped them on Friday. (2:31) So I’m only on the aspirin now for another few days, at the end of the week, and then that’s it I’m off everything.

(2:36) So, and how long are you in hospital for? (2:39) That was, so it’s just overnight, so I was in the operation Friday. (2:43) We call that day case actually, it’s less than 24 hours, we call it day case surgery.

(2:48) So overall you’d probably recommend this to other people?

(2:51) Yeah, yeah, yeah, definitely, yeah. (2:55) It’s so smooth, the process in terms of working with you guys was so smooth, and the results of the operation, (3:09) it’s, when I did my review, my research, and saw how good the reviews were, I thought great, (3:15) it can’t all be that good, but I’ll take that. (3:19) You know, if it’s not quite as good as what it is, as it’s advertised, I’ll take that, (3:23) because that seems good enough.

(3:24) But it’s exactly as it’s described, absolutely brilliant. (3:27) Yeah, it’s lovely. (3:30) Happy Kristian? Good.
