My experience from the initial contact through to leaving the hospital was absolutely 5 star. Consultants were absolutely amazing. End result was as they predicted. Complete Hip replacement and driving my car exactly 2 weeks later. Could not recommend this service any more highly to anyone considering surgery. 100% recommend Orthopaedic Innovation and my surgeon Kristian Kley. Couldn't have hoped for a better recovery and I am so happy to have my active life back. After a long period of researching hip replacement surgery, I was continually drawn back to Orthopaedic Innovation. I was attracted by the expertise of the surgeon, the minimally invasive technique, the short operation time and the rapid recovery. The cost of the surgery was also very competitive at £12500. I had my surgery late afternoon Friday 17/07/2026 and was discharged early Saturday morning. My 3 hour car journey home was very comfortable. I could weight bear from day 1. I had minimal pain, swelling or bruising .I could walk unaided and drive at the end of week 3. Recovery continues to be excellent. The Weymouth Hospital is clean and tidy and the food was nice. The whole process from the pre operation meeting to the day of surgery was well organised. The whole team was professional, but at the same time friendly and approachable. The administration support, Vlad and his team, were very supportive and efficient. I first met Professor Adrian Wilson in 2019 after several years of recurring knee problems following a rugby injury at university. Despite previous keyhole surgery, I reached the point where I couldn’t run, play sport or even walk comfortably for long periods. From my very first consultation, Professor Wilson inspired confidence. He took the time to explain not only what was wrong with my knee, but why it had continued to cause problems and what the best long term solution would be. I underwent a distal femoral osteotomy, which was a major operation with a long and challenging rehabilitation, but I always felt I was in expert hands. Over the following years, Professor Wilson continued to monitor my progress carefully, taking a measured approach and never recommending further treatment unless it was genuinely necessary. When the time came for a specialised cartilage restoration procedure, he introduced me to Dr Pablo Gelber in Barcelona, one of Europe’s leading cartilage surgeons, ensuring I received the very best care for the next stage of my treatment. Today, almost ten years after my original injury, I’m back enjoying an active lifestyle including cricket, golf, tennis, padel, swimming and the gym. I still look after my knees carefully, but they no longer dictate my life. Looking back, what I appreciated most was Professor Wilson’s honesty, expertise and long term approach to my care. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone facing a complex knee problem.

I have had 3 operations on my knee, reoccurring oozing of fluid , immense pain , inability to walk! Effectively destroying my life for 2.5 yrs ! Kristian Kleys and Adrian Wilson are world class surgeons whose innovative approach to rapid hip replacement is remarkable. I am 13 days post bilateral hip and what they have done for me is truly remarkable. I am pain free. Can stand straight for the first time in years. Walk unaided and fully weight bear plus walk up and down stairs better than i ever could pre op. All pain and stiffness free. Cheating a little with paracetamol as required. Following severe arthritis of the right hip, I researched surgical options available and opted for the minimally invasive procedure offered by Orthopaedic Innovation. This was the best decision I could have made. At 6 weeks following surgery, I am able to drive, walk, although I don’t overdo it, easily walk up and down stairs and climb into the car with without having to lift my right leg in. The care received was first class and the hospital experience was stress free and only a single overnight stay was necessary. I am 82 years old. I couldn’t recommend Orthopaedic Innovation highly enough. Update July 2026. I am now at the stage they call forgotten hip. This means I am no longer conscious of my hip, which feels exactly as if nothing ever happened to it. No pain although there wasn’t much after the surgery. The only time I am reminded of it is going through airport security. I would still highly recommend Orthopaedic Innovation to anyone thinking about hip replacement.

The Kley Rapid Hip certainly lives up to its name! After 12 weeks I was back on my surfboard living life to fullest. Before the operation my mobility was very limited it effected my everyday life and stopped me doing the things I love. After 10 weeks I regained full mobility with no pain, and now at 15 weeks i can say I have forgotten hip which is the best outcome for this operation. At some point my right hip will need to be replaced and I will certainly be happy for Kristien and Adrian to carry this out for me.

I Visited Prof. Wilson after 10+ years of stability issues with my knee following an ACL reconstruction. He immediately spotted the issue and within 30 minutes I had an MRI to confirm the issue. After a thorough explanation of options and likely outcomes, I went ahead with the surgery a couple of months later. 4 months after the last surgery I have just completed a 400km multi day hike with 0 issues. I had done alot of research into hip replacement surgery beforehand. This lead me to the Orthopaedic Innovations page. I was interested in the recovery period following surgery, the minimal invasive technique and the time taken for the procedure. I considered this for some time before following up my interest. I required bilateral hip replacement and the procedure time along with minimal technique appealed to me. Over 2 years of osteo athrytis pain in both hips, I was towards the end not able to walk even one step on my own. I became house bound and bent down on fore arms on my rollator. I had to be pushed around in a wheelchair if my family took me to doctor's appointments. Very satisfied with a brilliant result of bilateral knee replacements, five weeks apart, 16 and 11 weeks ago. I’ve just come in from two hours of gardening, slowly a steadily does it. I’ve had full unaided mobility from within the first week of each operation. As a retired GP and part-time hospital specialist now in my 80th year, I had found my mobility rapidly decreasing. I had heard awful stories of pain and stiffness, infection and on going complications with knee replacements. I spent much of last year exploring choices and had several assessments. This became complicated by finding I had full thickness cardiac scarring probably from Covid. After reviewing several leads, I contacted Orthopaedic Innovation. Professor Wilson contacted me from Crete. We had a long unhurried discussion; the cardiac situation stabilised. Following a full examination by Professor Wilson, I was contacted by the surgeon doing the knee replacement, Kristian Kley, we discussed his results from knee replacements, which were impressive and I was surprised these totalled well into five figures. Having met various other staff, I heard of bloodless operating fields, skilled rapid surgery (essential to decrease the risk of infection and the overall shock to the body and brain) as well as no cutting of tendons, ligaments or muscle. My further research confirmed the Columbus prosthesis appears to be the best to date. I was listed for surgery in January, a consultation with Kristian a few days before and then the morning of the operation was very reassuring. What seemed like a little more than an hour after going into the OR, I was getting out of bed using two elbow crutches and mobile! There is no doubt that this is one of the most painful orthopaedic operations post-operatively. Fortunately this is high in consideration, the team’s anaesthetist had blocked the regional pain nerves which lasted about 24 hours giving a recovery and mobility widow by which time a pain assessment had been made resulting in the appropriate opiate pain relief. I opted for five days at the Claverdale Rehabilitation Centre, a very wise investment to maintain and augment the range of movement. The nursing and physiotherapy support was excellent. At the first month’s post operative assessment by Prof. Wilson my second TKR was confirmed for the week after. The effect was interesting physiologically as the knees soon seemed to be in near in harmony. Satisfactory progress continues friends and some relatives have asked support for their knee replacent . The Wilson and Kley team have given me outstanding service and confidence. It is a lot to cope with, having given myself the first six months of 2026 “ hors de combat”, I am independently mobile, occasionally in London I use one elbow crutch, more as a flag to others in a hurry. I’m doing 1 to 2 mile country walks around the spring time fields and driving without any difficult or pain. My range of movement in both knees is 0-130 degrees. I can stand on each leg unaided for 1minute. An excellent result, a big thank you to both Prof Wilson and Dr Kley. Also a big thank you to the rest of the team and admin, Vlad, Petra and Marco.

I was diagnosed with Perthe’s disease in my left hip around 9 years of age and had surgery to try and limit the damage to my hip. As I grew older the pain continued and it was reaching the point where I was having more bad days than good days. This was really impacting my quality of life. Having a young family I was struggling to be the involved dad I wanted to be. I was very fortunate to have surgery with Mr Kley and Professor Wilson. On the very same day as my surgery I was able to walk a few steps. Now I am some 7 weeks on from my surgery and I am in a great place. I am pain free and walk unaided , cycling , swimming and generally enjoying life again. I’ve even ventured back to helping my son’s mini rugby club out and cycling with my him and my daughter. Historically I would be in pain and discomfort after most forms of exercise or even in the evening just sitting on the sofa the pain could come on. Since the surgery I have suffered none of these episodes of pain. My physio is amazed about the progress, noting I am several stages ahead of recovery than she would anticipate should I have had a more standard procedure. I am really looking forward to what lies ahead of me now. I would fully endorse and recommend the surgical expertise of Mr Kley and Prof Wilson at Orthopaedic Innovation and the Rapid Recovery Hip replacement I received.

Fantastic experience with Prof. Adrian Wilson and the team at Orthopaedic Innovation for minimally invasive hip replacement surgery (March 2026). After struggling with NHS wait times and severe pain, I found clarity and professionalism here. The, x-ray, pre-assessment, and consultation were efficiently combined, and the surgical team was compassionate. I was walking the same day and discharged the next to travel back to Manchester. Seven weeks post-op, I’ve gone from crutches to walking unaided and returning to the gym! While I had minor issues with the external discharge physio team and an invoice, both are being investigated by the team. Highly recommend for the surgical care alone—I am feeling miles better, physically and mentally!"

Having undergone a ‘superpath’ right hip replacement in 2017 I found myself needing a left hip replacement. As my previous surgeon didn’t practice anymore, my research began to find an equally skilled practitioner. Being a horse rider and in my sixties, it was imperative that the surgeon I chose would be able to work with my life style. I’ll admit I was sceptical to start with as everything worked like clock work so my gut feeling was saying ‘hold on, this is too easy’. (Thank God I ignored it!) From my initial contact, to meeting Vlad and Professor Wilson and then Mr Kristen Kley, I knew instantly I’d made the right choice. My surgery was booked within three weeks. The surgery took 20 minutes and I was back in my room being looked after by a great team of nurses. I was discharged the next day and began my recovery. Within 10 days I was walking without my crutches, driving at two weeks and in the pool at three weeks. I’ve had no pain and the whole experience far exceeded my expectations. I was so impressed that two acquaintances have now cancelled their hip surgeries with a local hospital and instructed Mr Kley to work his magic. I knew I definitely didn’t want conventional surgery where the muscles are cut, so this muscle sparing technique has really helped my recovery. I’m looking forward to being back in the saddle at 6 - 8 weeks, and cannot thank everyone at Orthopaedic Innovations enough for giving me my quality of life back.

I travelled from Ireland to London to meet him and although he was highly recommended, I could never have imagined the standard of care I would receive. Amazing results after my recent hip replacement. In less than two weeks I was walking almost normally and driving my car. My family and friends were amazed some couldn’t believe I’d just had a hip replacement. This isn’t just rapid recovery it’s warp speed recovery. I only needed to use crutches to get me home after that I didn’t need any walking aid. Great result I’m so happy I found Orthopaedic Innovations. My experience with Orthopaedic Innovation has been extremely positive from start to finish. I was happy with the whole team from my initial contact. My consultation with Professor Wilson put me at ease and gave me the confidence to know I was in safe hands for my procedure. I had a video call with Mr Kley 2 days before my surgery and then I met Mr Kley on the morning of my surgery. I found the website very informative but I was always asked if I had any questions or queries regarding the procedure. My surgery was 20 minutes for a total hip replacement at Weymouth Street Hospital where I was very comfortable and cared for by lovely staff. I was discharged the following day with medication and clear instructions from the hospital pharmacist. I have just had my 2 week post op consultation with Professor Wilson and I was happy to report I hadn't actually needed any of the pain relief prescribed. I had swelling controlled with regular ice application and my 'tiny' incision has healed well. I can definitely recommend Orthopedic Innovation and my other deteriorating hip will definitely be replaced by them when needed.

Title: Outstanding care and excellent outcome — 5 stars I had a partial left knee replacement with a tibial slope adjustment after a failed ACL reconstruction. From consultation through rehab, the team at Orthopaedic Innovation — especially surgeons Adrian Wilson and Kristian Kley — were professional, clear and compassionate. Vlad was fantastic at organising everything and always responsive. Surgery went smoothly and the Clavadel clinic in Guildford provided excellent nursing care, daily physio and hydrotherapy. Early pain management and sticking to the physio routine made a huge difference. Recovery highlights: Day 1: 60 degree flexion with little swelling or bruising. Week 1: 120 degree flexion, walking shirt distances at home unaided, stairs manageable. Week 2: increased flexion, able to use a stationary bike, normal stairs. Weeks 3–4: no walking aids, 20-minute walks outside returned to work Week 5: walking, driving, cycling with resistance, and rode my horse for 15 minutes Progress is continuing and full recovery can take up to a year, but given my complex history this result has been brilliant. Highly recommend Adrian Wilson, Kristian Kley and the Orthopaedic Innovation team for complex knee surgery. Amazing experience. Thank you!

After suffering debilitating knee pain for some time, I did some research & decided that Orthopaedic Innovations would be my best option. Fast forward a few years & still no luck with the NHS, I could not stand the pain any longer so booked in for a consultation. Once the outpatient pre surgery X-Rays, MRI & tests were done I got my appointment for 12th March 2026 for a bilateral total knee replacement. I spent 1 night at Weymouth Street Hospital & 5 nights at Lynden Hill Clinic which proved essential to kick start my recovery. When I arrived home I left my crutches at the door & didn’t need them again, able to completely weight bearing on both legs. I managed well at home with no help. Follow-ups were virtual & it was very reassuring to know that I could contact the team anytime should I need any advice. After plenty of physio, pain management & use of a Game Ready, 6 weeks on I felt like I had turned a corner & things are looking very positive. My physio says my recovery is remarkable & he has no doubt I will get full movement back in both legs. Thank you so much to Kristian Kley, Professor Adrian Wilson & all the team for your kindness, dedication & professionalism, with efficient administrative support from Vlad who is always a pleasure to talk to. You have helped me get back to living a life without limitations.

We first met Prof Wilson and his team back in October 25 and immediately knew this was the place for our son's ACL procedure. There was a big time gap between then and the operation (April 26), but the whole team and process was so smooth and easy throughout, and we always felt incredibly well taken care of. He's more than 2 weeks post-op and his physio - whose primary job is with a professional sports team - said he's never seen such a 'clean knee' this soon after surgery. We couldn't be happier with our decision.

I had osteotomy surgery in January 2016 , carried out by Professor Adrian Wilson . I enjoyed many activities such as tennis, golf, cycling and walking in the countryside and The Alps. All had become more difficult with pain in my right knee. The surgery has given me a fantastic 10 years of being able to do all of those activities pain free - just as Adrian predicted. Fantastic!

Very agreeable visit to Orthopedic Innovation this morning. From the moment I arrived Vlad flawlessly managed the process from start to finish. Professor Wilson administered the Cortisone shot whilst discussing my medical options going forward. Once complete Vlad booked my next appointment, and within 20 minutes I was on my way. An excellent experience.

From beginning to end this was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. They went above and beyond, were organised and responsive, had incredible attention to detail, gave me practical and honest advice , were warm and empathetic - I don’t think I could of asked for anything more and actually looked forward to going to my follow up. From my first call to Marco who managed to somehow organise a consultation, MRI and surgery at the last minute, to arriving to Vlad who made me feel incredibly welcome, clarified all my questions and organised all my follow ups. This was before I even saw the surgeon Dr. Wilson who had a great character, explained everything clearly and made me feel at ease. When I searched for a surgeon, I looked for experience, qualifications and outcomes first and foremost and honestly thought that is all that mattered, but I completely underestimated how important it is for a surgeon to have a competent team around them to make the whole process seamless and how important that first impression is. I’ve travelled a lot in business class flights to a lot of nice hotels around the world for work and this was top of the list in terms of service and I really didn’t expect to say that about getting knee surgery…

Swift, efficient and very friendly. I found them on the internet so contacted them and made an appointment for a pre assessment on Friday 27th February. I discovered both hips needed total replacement and was given an appointment for a bilateral op’ for 26th March. I said that if they had a cancellation I’d need only two days notice. They rang the following Tuesday and I was operated on Thurs 5th March! Seven weeks on I am walking two miles a day with my dog, doing sporadic gardening and all normal daily activities. And today I’ve been discharged as have had no complications and there are no restrictions on what I can do. So bless you Kristian Kley, Prof. Adrian Wilson and all your team for your calm and positive approach to a life changing operation. Not that I had time to think about it, (just knew I needed it done asap) but you reassured me and let me know that I was in very competent hands. The scars are already fading!
